23rd IUHPE World Conference on Health Promotion, 7 - 11 April 2019, Rotorua, Aotearoa New Zealand

Te Puia

Nestled in the Whakarewarewa Geothermal Valley, Te Puia takes its Māori name from the gushing waters, steaming vents, and natural beauty of the valley. You will be enthralled by the delicate silica terraces, bubbling mud pools, unique geothermal vegetation and the world renowned Pohutu Geyser, reaching heights of up to 30 metres. Te Puia aims to preserve the heritage of the Māori people and their culture and is home to the New Zealand Māori Arts and Crafts Institute.
